N.V. Select Spartans

Building pride and excellence in our youth by teaching teamwork and responsibility!

Our vision is to provide our youth with the Opportunities and Challenges that will contribute to their future success! Opportunities, in the form of going above and beyond to gain experience and exposure, while maximizing everything youth sports have to offer. Challenges, in the form of pursuing academic excellence for our youth, converting their weaknesses into strengths, and traveling to seek the area’s best competition.
Develop young men and women that are equipped with values necessary to succeed in today’s world. Do it by: Leading by example and being positive role models - motivate them with encouragement - listen, understand, and provide guidance - and by putting our children’s needs ahead of our own!

The PWC Select Spartans has set forth a core set of goals and beliefs in which our organization operates ~ Honesty, Dedication, and Commitment. We feel that as each volunteer and parent embraces this culture, these values will be passed to our children. And by doing so, the success rate of our youth will be raised significantly. We believe that it will take a combined community effort to achieve this goal. For that reason we are determined to work with the community and parents to mold the youth of today, into tomorrow’s leaders.

Organized athletic programs reduce youth violence and drug use.  All children deserve the opportunity to play and learn. Help Us – Help the Youth. Show Your SUPPORT!

Tony Dural - Founder, Chief Visionary & President

Tony Dural aka Coach TD - Passionate! Authentic! Enjoyable!

Dedicated father of six outstanding children, 3 boys and 3 girls, the oldest being 18 and the youngest age 8.

I have been involved with football in some way, form, or fashion for over 28 years. Playing throughout middle and high school, I received multiple partial scholarships but decided that the Marine Corps was the better option. While over seas, I played middle linebacker in Germany’s Semi-Pro League for the Bamberg Bears. Coaching is my passion! Holding titles from Assistant Coach to President throughout the years. I intend to soon pursue a high school coaching job, which I feel is my natural calling.

Academics is key and I take it very seriously; attending schools for the academically gifted, where I was nominated and received multiple scholastic awards. After my military career ended with Honorable Discharge, I enrolled into college and earned a BA in Human Resources and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). I am also currently pursuing my Doctorate from Hampton University in Business Administration.

Jamell Lucas - Vice President

Coach Jamell – Motivational Speaker! Business Savvy! Natural Born Leader!

I am knowledgeable of all three phases of the game of football, playing many positions from ages 9 to 17. I also played basketball and Track & Field in high school. While furthering my education after high school I became a member of the National Honor Society and was my class Valedictorian earning a 4.0 GPA in college.

Even though I don’t have children of my own, every Spartan is my child. As Vice President, I will ensure each Spartan athlete can excel academically, socially and professionally. It is my duty to afford the youth in our community as many opportunities to create a positive environment.

I find peace in making others happy and I intend to keep a open mind and give a helping hand wherever I can. Together we will be motivated to achieve great results and be successful.

Jerome James - Football Commissioner

Coach Jerome aka Big Dog – Hard! Firm! Fair!

Growing up in Pittsburg, PA I learned to play football, baseball and run track. As a child I played quarterback, running back and defensive back. These are also positions I played in college before I enlisted into the Marine Corps.

As a parent of 4, I started off as a sideline coach and over the years graduated to assistant coach then as Deputy Commissioner for Dale City Sports Club for 2 years.

I want to be able to give back to the community that helped guide my kids in a positive direction. I believe COMMUNITY opens doors for kids, helps them build lifelong friends, teaches them to respect authority and how to be productive human beings in society.

I believe a dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work. Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.
